Learnings from BCVS

Starting our first semester, BCVS-I was an important subject with six parts meant to make us better at talking and understand values for being successful. Let me share the cool stuff I learned in this class.

Breaking Down the Units:

  • Talking and Values
  • Talking for Business
  • Good Talking Skills
  • Making Talking, Speaking, and Thinking Better
  • Business Letters

Talking about Business and Values:

We learned how to talk good for business and make things valuable for customers. It was like building blocks for our future work success.

Getting Over Scared Feelings and Language Problems:

First lab time was scary! We had to say hi to everyone, and I wasn't good at it because I was scared and a bit nervous. But then, we did fun things like speeches and talking without planning. It helped me feel better. We also learned about phonetics, whatever that means!

Understanding Business Talking:

In the "Talking for Business" part, we learned about talking in companies. They wanted us to listen, talk, and think better. We also learned about mistakes in talking and how important it is to really listen. We also learned different levels of talking and ways to talk without saying anything. And, we learned how to write fancy business letters, which I never knew before.

Project:

Talking About Our Favorite Sports Captain:

We had a cool project where we talked about the good things our favorite sports captain does. I chose MS Dhoni. I wanted to learn good stuff from him. It was what good things we like in the sports personality and make a poster and present it in the class.

CONCLUSION

In the end, after learning about talking in business and making things valuable, its important it is to do things better. Learned about making things clear, listening carefully, knowing others, getting feedback, using technology, understanding non-verbal signs, caring about different cultures, talking with a purpose, and checking how well we're doing. All these things, when used together, can make talking better and help businesses do well. It can make people work together better, build stronger connections, and become more successful in the tough world of business. When companies follow these ideas, they can become stronger and succeed more in today's world where everyone is competing.
